The best way to get enough vitamin C is through your diet. There are plenty of sources, such as yellow bell peppers, dark green leafy vegetables, and kiwi. Other great selections are broccoli, berries, tomatoes, and citrus fruits.

Protecting Your Gums

With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reporting at least half of adults have a form of gum disease, you need to protect the health of your gums. To prevent gum disease, you need a healthy immune system with proper vitamin C levels. In addition, you must keep the bacteria responsible for gum disease to a minimum.

Brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes each session. Then, floss your teeth daily to remove plaque and tarter from in between the teeth and under the gum line. Keep regular appointments with your dentist in Marietta for semi-annual dental cleanings and checkups.
